Turk’s was opened in 1992 and was the first independent coffee shop along Vancouver's Commercial Drive, soon to become a trend for the street. The main focus throughout the design is to on what Turk's is doing for the community it helped establish and the coffee it provides. This became the primary source for the rebrand of the company, to remind people Turk’s is a key part of the community's identity through all forms of media. Everything in the identity has hand drawn aspects to create a feeling of being artisan, an important distinction of life on the Drive.
